Craniosacral Therapy Student Hours

Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy works from the heart space, encouraging natural healing to take place through the body’s own intelligent system

Origins of Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy

Craniosacral therapy originated in the 1890s; William Sutherland observed that the skull’s temporal bones subtly move like the ‘gills of a fish.’ He sensed a ‘power’ within his clients’ bodies similar to the concepts of Chi or Prana, which he termed the ‘Breath of Life.’

Further contributions from R. Becker, J. Jealous, and F. Sills developed this spiritual approach to cranial work, known as Biodynamic Cranial Therapy.

Donna is completing a Diploma of Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy with Ken and Nikki Gordon from Mind Body Healing Centres. She began this 700-hour training in February 2023 and is currently completing her supervision hours.

What to expect?

Craniosacral therapy is a light touch modality where the therapist aligns with the subtle rhythms of the client. Delicate touch allows the therapist to create space for your nervous system to come into balance.

Each session lasts one hour and fifteen minutes. It begins by exploring your needs and answering any questions you may have.

You will lie on the table during the session and experience Craniosacral holds. Each light touch hold may last approximately 5 to 20 minutes, allowing for a deeply relaxing experience.
